Dua for protection against every evil
This dua was recited by the Prophet ﷺ for Hasan and Husayn and is used for evil eye protection.
Uʿīdhukumā bikalimātillāhi at-tāmmati min kulli shayṭānin wa hāmmah wa min kulli ʿaynin lāmmāh.
I seek protection for you both in the perfect words of Allah from every devil and every poisonous creature and from every harmful evil eye.
Dua to recite for general protection
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said the following dua, and said that if someone was to say this, nothing would harm him until he marches from that stopping place.
Aʿūdhu bikalimātillāhi at-tāmmāti min sharri mā khalaq.
I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.
Seeking refuge with Al-Mu'awwidhatayn
Recite Surah Al-Falaq and Surah An-Naas for protection from evil of envious people and the evil eye.
Qul aʿūdhu birabbi-l-falaq ● Min sharri mā khalaq ● Wa min sharri ghāsiqin idhā waqab ● Wa min sharri an-naffāthāti fī-l-ʿuqad ● Wa min sharri ḥāsidin idhā ḥasad.
Say: I seek refuge with (Allah), the Lord of the daybreak, from the evil of what He has created, and from the evil of the darkness when it settles, and from the evil of the witches when they blow in the knots, and from the evil of the envier when he envies.
Dua seeking refuge with Allah from all harm
This general dua, often recited in the evening and morning, seeks Allah's protection from every harm, including the evil eye.
Bismillāhilladhī lā yaḍurru maʿa ismihi shay’un fi-l-arḍi wa lā fi-s-samā’ wa huwa as-samīʿu al-ʿalīm.
In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing in the earth or in the heaven can cause harm. He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
