Dua to Recite When Breaking the Fast
This is the well-known dua that the Prophet Muhammad (๏ทบ) would say at iftar.
ุฐูููุจู ุงูุธููู ูุฃู ููุงุจูุชููููุชู ุงููุนูุฑูููู ููุซูุจูุชู ุงููุฃูุฌูุฑู ุฅููู ุดูุงุกู ุงูููููู
Dhahaba adh-dhamaโu wabtallatil-โurooqu wa thabatal-ajru in shaaโ Allah.
The thirst is gone, the veins are moistened and the reward is certain, if Allah wills.
Alternative Dua for Iftar
Another authentic supplication the Prophet (๏ทบ) would say when breaking the fast.
ุงููููููู ูู ูููู ุตูู ูุชู ููุนูููู ุฑูุฒููููู ุฃูููุทูุฑูุชู
Allahumma laka sumtu wa โala rizqika-aftartu.
O Allah! For You I have fasted and with Your provision I break my fast.
Dua for Acceptance of Good Deeds
This is a general dua for acceptance, appropriate to recite at iftar or after any good deed.
ุฑูุจููููุง ุชูููุจูููู ู ููููุง ุฅูููููู ุฃููุชู ุงูุณููู ููุนู ุงููุนููููู ู
Rabbana taqabbal minna innaka Antas-Samiโul-โAleem.
Our Lord, accept from us. Indeed, You are the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
Dua for Forgiveness When Breaking Fast
It is encouraged to ask for forgiveness when breaking the fast, as this dua expresses humility and hope.
ุฑูุจููู ุงุบูููุฑู ููู ููุงุฑูุญูู ูููู ููุงููุฏูููู ููุงุฑูุฒูููููู
Rabbi ighfir li warhamni wahdini warzuqni.
My Lord, forgive me, have mercy on me, guide me, and provide for me.
