Dua for protection and blessings
This dua, taught by the Prophet ﷺ, asks Allah to protect your newborn from every harm, evil eye, and the devil.
أُعِيذُكَ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللهِ التَّامَّةِ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ وَهَامَّةٍ وَمِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ لَامَّةٍ
Uʿīdhuka bikalimāti Llāhi t-tāmmati min kulli shayṭānin wa hāmmah, wa min kulli ʿaynin lāmmah.
I seek refuge for you in the perfect words of Allah from every devil and harmful creature, and from every evil eye.
Dua for righteous offspring
A beautiful Quranic supplication for asking Allah to grant your child righteousness and goodness.
رَبِّ هَبْ لِي مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ
Rabbi hab lī minaṣ-ṣāliḥīn.
My Lord, grant me [offspring] from among the righteous.
Dua for a good future and protection from evil
This dua seeks goodness for your child in this world and the next, and protection from Hellfire.
رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ
Rabbana ātinā fī d-dunyā ḥasanah wa fī l-ākhirati ḥasanah waqinā ʿadhāba n-nār.
Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.
Dua for a Righteous family
Recite this Qur’anic supplication, asking Allah to make you and your family from the righteous servants.
رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا
Rabbana hab lana min azwajina wadhurriyatina qurrata a’yunin wa-jalna lil-muttaqina imama.
Our Lord, grant us from among our spouses and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us an example for the righteous.
