Qur'anic Dua for Healing
This supplication from the Qur'an was recited by Prophet Ibrahim (AS), affirming that healing is only from Allah.
Wa ’idhā mariḍtu fa-huwa yashfīn.
And when I am ill, it is He who cures me.
Prophet’s Dua for the Sick
A short prayer taught by the Prophet ﷺ to invoke Allah’s cure for any illness.
Allāhumma Rabban-nāsi adhhib al-ba’s, ishfi anta ash-Shāfī, lā shifā’a illā shifā’uka, shifā’an lā yugādiru saqaman.
O Allah, Lord of mankind! Remove the harm and cure (him or her), for You are the Healer. There is no healing but Your healing, a healing that leaves no sickness.
Dua to Place Your Trust in Allah’s Healing
The Prophet ﷺ taught us to use this dua to treat disease.
Imsahil-ba'sa rabban-nās, biyadika ash-shifā', lā kāshifa lahu illā ant.
O the Lord of the people! Remove the trouble The cure is in Your Hands, and there is none except You who can remove it (the disease) .
Dua for Relief from Pain
This dua is taught by the Prophet ﷺ for relief from physical pain by placing the hand on the affected area. One should say the first part "Bismillah" three times and the second part seven times.
Bismillāh. A‘ūdhu bi‘izzatillāhi wa qudratihi min sharri mā ajidu wa uhādhir.
In the Name of Allah, in the Name of Allah, in the Name of Allah. I seek refuge in Allah’s might and power from the evil of what I feel and fear.
