ARABIC

أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ

Transliteration

Ashhadu an lā ilāha illā Allāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lahu, wa ashhadu anna Muḥammadan ‘abduhu wa rasūluhu.

TRANSLATION

I bear witness that there is no deity except Allah alone, He has no partner. And I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger.

Dua for Paradise after wudu

Sunan At-Tirmidhi 55

Recite this dua after wudu to seek the opening of Paradise’s gates and to be made among Allah’s purified servants.

ARABIC

اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْنِي مِنَ التَّوَّابِينَ وَاجْعَلْنِي مِنَ الْمُتَطَهِّرِينَ

Transliteration

Allahummajalni minat tawwabin, waj'alni minal mutatahhirin

TRANSLATION

O Allah! Make me among the repentant, and make me among those who purify themselves

Dua asking for perfect light on the Day of Judgment

This dua, though general, can be recited after wudu to ask Allah for light on the Day of Judgment as washing increases one's radiance.

ARABIC

رَبَّنَا أَتْمِمْ لَنَا نُورَنَا وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا إِنَّكَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

Transliteration

Rabbana atmim lanā nūranā waghfir lanā innaka ‘alā kulli shay’in qadīr.

TRANSLATION

Our Lord, perfect for us our light and forgive us. Indeed, You are over all things competent.

Dua affirming Allah’s perfection after wudu

ARABIC

سُبْحَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ وَبِحَمْدِكَ، أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، أَسْتَغْفِرُكَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْكَ.

Transliteration

Subḥānaka Allāhumma wa biḥamdik, ashhadu an lā ilāha illā ant, astaghfiruka wa atūbu ilayk.

TRANSLATION

Glory is to You, O Allah, and praise; I bear witness there is no deity but You. I seek Your forgiveness and turn to You in repentance.
