Seeking Protection With Mu'awwidhatayn
Recite this dua from the last two chapters of the Qur'an for protection from all evil, including the evil eye.
قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ • مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ • وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ • وَمِن شَرِّ النَّفَّاثَاتِ فِي الْعُقَدِ • وَمِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ
Qul a‘ūdhu birabbi-l-falaq • min sharri mā khalaq • wa min sharri ghāsiqin idhā waqab • wa min sharri-n-naffāthāti fil ‘uqad • wa min sharri ḥāsidin idhā ḥasad
Say: I seek refuge with (Allah), the Lord of the daybreak from the evil of what He has created... and from the evil of the envier when he envies.
Protection With Surah An-Nas
Recite Surah An-Nas for seeking Allah’s refuge from the evil whispers and the harm of envious people.
قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ • مَلِكِ النَّاسِ • إِلَٰهِ النَّاسِ • مِن شَرِّ الْوَسْوَاسِ الْخَنَّاسِ • الَّذِي يُوَسْوِسُ فِي صُدُورِ النَّاسِ • مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ
Qul a‘ūdhu birabbi-n-nās • maliki-n-nās • ilāhi-n-nās • min sharri-l-waswāsi-l-khannās • alladhī yuwaswisu fī ṣudūri-n-nās • minal-jinnati wan-nās
Say: I seek refuge with (Allah), the Lord of mankind, the King of mankind, the God of mankind, from the evil of the retreating whisperer…
Asking Refuge From Every Envious One
A prophetic dua for protection from all evil, especially jealousy and the evil eye.
أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّةِ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ وَهَامَّةٍ وَمِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ لَامَّةٍ
A‘ūdhu bikalimāti-llāhi-t-tāmmati min kulli shayṭānin wa hāmmah wa min kulli ‘aynin lāmmāh.
I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from every devil and every poisonous pest, and from every evil, envious eye.
Dua for Healing Someone Affected by Evil Eye
This dua is specifically recited over someone afflicted by the evil eye for healing and recovery.
اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ النَّاسِ، أَذْهِبِ الْبَأْسَ، اشْفِ أَنْتَ الشَّافِي، لاَ شِفَاءَ إِلَّا شِفَاؤُكَ، شِفَاءً لاَ يُغَادِرُ سَقَمًا
Allāhumma rabba-n-nās, adhhibi-l-ba’s, ishfi anta-sh-shāfī, lā shifā’a illā shifā’uka, shifā’an lā yughadiru saqaman.
O Allah, Lord of mankind, remove the trouble. Heal, for You are the Healer. There is no healing except Your healing, a healing that leaves no sickness behind.
