رَبِّ زِدْنِي عِلْمًا

Transliteration

Rabbi zidnī ‘ilman.

TRANSLATION

My Lord, increase me in knowledge.

Dua for Ease in All Matters

This dua is for seeking Allah’s help to make things easy and to remove hardships, especially useful around exams or difficult tasks.

ARABIC

اللَّهُمَّ لَا سَهْلَ إِلَّا مَا جَعَلْتَهُ سَهْلًا وَأَنْتَ تَجْعَلُ الْحَزْنَ إِذَا شِئْتَ سَهْلًا

Transliteration

Allahumma lā sahla illā mā ja‘altahu sahlā wa anta taj‘alu al-ḥazna idhā shi’ta sahlā.

TRANSLATION

O Allah, there is no ease except what You make easy. You can make grief, if You wish, easy.

Dua for Success and Good Outcome

Surah Al-Baqarah (2:201)

The Prophet ﷺ taught this dua to seek the best outcome in this life and the Hereafter. It’s beneficial before exams and important tasks.

ARABIC

رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ

Transliteration

Rabbana ātinā fī al-dunyā ḥasanah wa fī al-ākhirati ḥasanah wa qinā ‘adhāba an-nār.

TRANSLATION

Our Lord, grant us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.

Dua for Clarity and Confidence When Feeling Anxious

Surah Taha (20:25-28)

ARABIC

رَبِّ اشْرَحْ لِي صَدْرِي ﴿٢٥﴾ وَيَسِّرْ لِي أَمْرِي ﴿٢٦﴾ وَاحْلُلْ عُقْدَةً مِّن لِّسَانِي ﴿٢٧﴾ يَفْقَهُوا قَوْلِي

Transliteration

Rabbi shraḥ lī ṣadrī (25) wa yassir lī amrī (26) waḥlul ‘uqdatan min lisānī (27) yafqahū qawlī.

TRANSLATION

My Lord, expand for me my breast, and ease for me my task, and untie the knot from my tongue that they may understand my speech.
