Dua for help with any difficulty
Recite this dua when you face any difficulty, such as losing something, asking Allah for ease and guidance.
اللَّهُمَّ لاَ سَهْلَ إِلَّا مَا جَعَلْتَهُ سَهْلاً، وَأَنْتَ تَجْعَلُ الْحَزْنَ إِذَا شِئْتَ سَهْلاً
Allāhumma lā sahla illā mā jaʿaltahu sahlā, wa anta tajʿalu al-ḥazna idhā shi'ta sahlā.
O Allah! There is nothing easy except what You make easy, and You make the difficult easy if You will.
Dua to seek refuge and help from Allah
When you need help recovering something lost or missing, this general plea for guidance can be recited.
رَبِّ إِنِّي مَغْلُوبٌ فَانتَصِرْ
Rabbi innī maghlūbun fa’ntaṣir.
My Lord, indeed I am overpowered, so help me.
Dua for seeking what is good in this world and the next
Recite this dua to ask Allah’s help in all matters, including finding what you have lost, by seeking goodness and protection from harm.
رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ
Rabbana ātinā fi ad-dunyā ḥasanah wa fi al-ākhirati ḥasanah wa qinā ʿadhāba an-nār.
Our Lord, give us in this world that which is good and in the Hereafter that which is good, and protect us from the torment of the Fire.
Dua to find lost item
When facing distress or loss, such as when something valuable is lost, recite this dua for relief and help from Allah.
اللهُمَّ رَادَّ الضَّالَّةِ، وَهَادِيَ الضَّلَالَةِ تَهْدِي مِنَ الضَّلَالَةِ، ارْدُدْ عَلَيَّ ضَالَّتِي بِقُدْرَتِكِ وَسُلْطَانِكَ، فَإِنَّهَا مِنْ عَطَائِكَ وَفَضْلِكَ
Allahumma raddad dallati wa hadiyad dalalati tahdi minad dalalati urdud ‘alayya dallati bi qudratika wa sultanika fa innaha min ‘ata-ika wa fadlika
O Allah! The Returner of the lost and Guide of those astray, You are the Being who will show the right way out of misguidance, return my lost property to me with Your power and command because it is from Your gift and favour [to me].
