Dua for Forgiveness of the Deceased
Say this dua when visiting the grave to ask Allah's forgiveness and mercy for those buried there.
ุงูุณููููุงู ู ุนูููููููู ู ุฃููููู ุงูุฏููููุงุฑู ู ููู ุงููู ูุคูู ูููููู ููุงููู ูุณูููู ููููุ ููููุฑูุญูู ู ุงูููููู ุงููู ูุณูุชูููุฏูู ูููู ู ููููุง ููุงููู ูุณูุชูุฃูุฎูุฑููููุ ุฅููููุง ุฅููู ุดูุงุกู ุงูููููู ุจูููู ู ููุงุญููููููุ ููุณูุฃููู ุงูููููู ููููุง ููููููู ู ุงููุนูุงููููุฉู.
As-salฤmu สฟalaykum ahla d-diyฤri mina l-mu'minฤซna wal-muslimฤซn, wa yarแธฅamu-llฤhu l-mustaqdimฤซna minnฤ wal-musta'khirฤซn, innฤ in shฤ'a llฤhu bikum lฤแธฅiqลซn, nas'alu-llฤha lanฤ wa lakumu l-สฟฤfiyah.
Peace be upon you, O inhabitants of these dwellings, among the believers and Muslims. May Allah have mercy on those who have gone ahead of us and those who come later. Indeed, we shall join you, if Allah wills. We ask Allah for well-being for us and for you.
Dua for All Believers who have Passed Away
Recite this to ask Allah's mercy for all deceased believers, not just those in one particular grave.
ุฑูุจููููุง ุงุบูููุฑู ููู ููููููุงููุฏูููู ููููููู ูุคูู ูููููู ููููู ู ูููููู ู ุงููุญูุณูุงุจู
Rabbanฤ ighfir lฤซ wali-wฤlidayya wa lil-muโminฤซna yawma yaqลซmu l-แธฅisฤb.
Our Lord, forgive me, my parents, and the believers on the Day when the account is established.
Dua for good ending and mercy
Recite this dua to ask Allah for a good end, forgiveness, and mercy for the deceased and for oneself.
ุงููููููู ูู ุงุบูููุฑู ููุญููููููุง ููู ููููุชูููุง ููุดูุงููุฏูููุง ููุบูุงุฆูุจูููุง ููุตูุบููุฑูููุง ููููุจููุฑูููุง ููุฐูููุฑูููุง ููุฃูููุซูุงููุง ุงููููููู ูู ู ููู ุฃูุญูููููุชููู ู ููููุง ููุฃูุญููููู ุนูููู ุงูุฅูุณููุงูู ู ููู ููู ุชููููููููุชููู ู ููููุง ููุชูููููููู ุนูููู ุงูุฅููู ูุงูู ุงููููููู ูู ูุงู ุชูุญูุฑูู ูููุง ุฃูุฌูุฑููู ูููุงู ุชูุถููููููุง ุจูุนูุฏููู
Allahummaghfir lihayyina wa mayyitina, wa shahidina wa ghaโibina, wa saghirina wa kabirina, wa dhakarina wa unthana. Allahumma man ahyaitahu minna fa'ahyihi โalal-Islam, wa man tawaffaytahu minna fa tawaffahu โalal- iman. Allahumma la tahrimna ajrahu wa la tudillana baโdah.
O Allah, forgive our living and our dead, those who are present and those who are absent, our young and our old, our males and our females. O Allah, whomever of us You cause to live, let him live in Islam, and whomever of us You cause to die, let him die in (a state of) faith. O Allah, do not deprive us of his reward, and do not let us go astray after him
Dua for Firmness during Questioning in the Grave
This dua, taught by the Prophet ๏ทบ, seeks steadfastness for the dead during the questioning of the grave.
ุงููููููู ูู ุซูุจููุชููู ุนููุฏู ุงูุณููุคูุงูู
Allฤhumma thabbit'hu โinda as-suโฤl.
O Allah, make him firm during questioning.
