Dua for Complete Well-Being

This dua asks Allah for forgiveness, good health, and well-being in this life and the Hereafter.

ARABIC

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَفْوَ وَالْعَافِيَةَ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ

Transliteration

Allāhumma innī as'aluka al-'afwa wa al-'āfiyata fī ad-dunyā wa al-ākhirah.

TRANSLATION

O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in this world and the Hereafter.

Dua for Healing from Illness

Sahih al-Bukhari 5743

Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) recited this dua when visiting a sick person, asking Allah for healing.

ARABIC

أَذْهِبِ الْبَأْسَ رَبَّ النَّاسِ، اشْفِ أَنْتَ الشَّافِي لَا شِفَاءَ إِلَّا شِفَاؤُكَ شِفَاءً لَا يُغَادِرُ سَقَمًا

Transliteration

Adhhib al-ba'sa, Rabb an-nās, ishfi anta ash-Shāfī, lā shifā'a illā shifā'uka, shifā'an lā yughadiru saqaman.

TRANSLATION

Remove the harm, O Lord of mankind, and heal, for You are the Healer. There is no healing except Your healing, a healing that leaves no illness behind.

Dua for Relief from Pain

This dua is taught by the Prophet (ﷺ) to be recited over a place of pain in the body.

ARABIC

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ، بِسْمِ اللَّهِ، بِسْمِ اللَّهِ، أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ وَقُدْرَتِهِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا أَجِدُ وَأُحَاذِرُ

Transliteration

Bismillāh, bismillāh, bismillāh, a'ūdhu billāhi wa qudratihi min sharri mā ajidu wa uhādhir.

TRANSLATION

In the name of Allah, in the name of Allah, in the name of Allah. I seek refuge in Allah and His Power from the evil of what I find and of what I beware.

Dua for Protection from Illness

Sunan Abi Dawud 1554

This supplication seeks Allah's protection from severe diseases and calamities.

ARABIC

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْبَرَصِ وَالْجُنُونِ وَالْجُذَامِ وَمِنْ سَيِّئِ الأَسْقَامِ

Transliteration

Allāhumma innī a'ūdhu bika minal-barasi, wal-junūni, wal-judhāmi, wa min sayyi'il-asqām.

TRANSLATION

O Allah, I seek refuge in Thee from leprosy, madness, elephantiasis, and evil diseases.
