The main dua taught for Laylatul Qadr
This is the most well-known dua that the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) recommended specifically for Laylatul Qadr, asking Allah for forgiveness.
Allāhumma innaka ‘afuwwun tuḥibbul-‘afwa fa‘fu ‘annī
O Allah, You are the Pardoner and You love to pardon, so pardon me.
Dua for comprehensive goodness
Supplicate for goodness in this life and the next, as taught in the Qur'an, suitable for Laylatul Qadr's blessings.
Rabbana ātinā fi d-dunyā ḥasanah wa fi l-ākhirati ḥasanah wa qinā ‘adhāba n-nār
Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.
Dua for mercy and forgiveness
Ask Allah for mercy, guidance, and well-being on this sacred night, using this comprehensive Quranic dua.
Rabbana la tu’ākhidh’nā in nasīnā aw akhṭa’nā rabbana wa lā taḥmil ‘alaynā isrān kamā ḥamaltahu ‘alā alladhīna min qablinā rabbana wa lā tuḥammilnā mā lā ṭāqata lanā bih wa‘fu ‘annā waghfir lanā warḥamnā anta maulānā fa-nṣurnā ‘ala l-qawm il-kāfirīn
Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we forget or make a mistake. Our Lord, lay not upon us a burden like that which You laid upon those before us. Our Lord, burden us not with that which we have no ability to bear. And pardon us; and forgive us; and have mercy upon us. You are our Protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people.
Dua seeking guidance and steadfastness
This Quranic dua seeks Allah’s help in making one’s heart firm on faith and counted among the guided—ideal for Laylatul Qadr.
Rabbana la tuzigh qulubana ba‘da idh hadaytana wahab lana min ladunka rahmah innaka anta al-wahhab
Our Lord, let not our hearts deviate after You have guided us and grant us from Yourself mercy. Indeed, You are the Bestower.
