Dua for Protection from All Harm Including Evil Eye
This dua is often recited for seeking protection against all harm, including the effects of the evil eye and other dangers.
أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ
A‘ūdhu bikalimāti-llāhi at-tāmmāti min sharri mā khalaq.
I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.
Dua for Children from Envy and Evil Eye
The Prophet ﷺ recited this dua to seek Allah's protection for his grandsons Hassan and Hussain from the evil eye and every harmful thing.
أُعِيذُكُمَا بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّةِ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ وَهَامَّةٍ وَمِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ لَامَّةٍ
U‘īdhukumā bikalimāti-llāhi at-tāmmah min kulli shayṭānin wa hāmmah, wa min kulli ‘aynin lāmmah.
I seek protection for you in the perfect words of Allah from every devil and every poisonous creature, and from every evil eye.
Recite Surah Al-Falaq for Protection
This surah is recommended to be recited for protection from all forms of evil, including Nazar (evil eye).
قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ•مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ•وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ•وَمِن شَرِّ النَّفَّاثَاتِ فِي الْعُقَدِ•وَمِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ
Qul a‘ūdhu birabbi-l-falaq • Min sharri mā khalaq • Wa min sharri ghāsiqin idhā waqab • Wa min sharri an-naffāthāti fi-l-‘uqad • Wa min sharri ḥāsidin idhā ḥasad
Say: I seek refuge with (Allah), the Lord of the daybreak, from the evil of what He has created, and from the evil of the darkening night as it comes with its darkness, and from the evil of sorceresses who blow on knots, and from the evil of the envier when he envies.
Recite Surah Al-Nas for Spiritual Protection
Reciting this surah is encouraged for seeking Allah’s refuge from all evil whispers, jealousy, and unseen harm including Nazar.
قُلْ اَعُوْذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ•مَلِكِ النَّاسِ•اِلٰهِ النَّاسِ•مِنْ شَرِّ الْوَسْوَاسِ الْخَنَّاسِ•الَّذِیْ یُوَسْوِسُ فِیْ صُدُوْرِ النَّاسِ•مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَ النَّاسِ
Qul a‘ūdhu birabbi-n-nās • Maliki-n-nās • Ilāhi-n-nās • Min sharri al-waswāsi al-khannās • Alladhī yuwaswisu fī ṣudūri-n-nās • Mina-l-jinnati wa-n-nās
Say: I seek refuge with (Allah), the Lord of mankind, the King of mankind, the God of mankind, from the evil of the retreating whisperer who whispers (evil) into the breasts of mankind, from among jinn and mankind.
