Dua for Righteous Offspring
A heartfelt supplication from the Qur'an asking Allah to grant righteous and pious children.
رَبِّ هَبْ لِي مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ
Rabbi hab lī min aṣ-ṣāliḥīn.
My Lord, grant me [offspring] from among the righteous.
Dua for Protection from Shaytan and Harm
This dua was often recited by the Prophet (ﷺ) seeking Allah’s protection for children from harm and the Devil.
أُعِيذُكُمَا بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّةِ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ وَهَامَّةٍ وَمِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ لَامَّةٍ
Uʿīdhukumā bikalimāti Allāhi at-tāmmati min kulli shayṭānin wa hāmmah, wa min kulli ʿaynin lāmmah.
I seek protection for you in the perfect words of Allah from every devil and every poisonous thing, and from every evil eye.
Dua for Ease and Acceptance
A well-known Qur’anic dua asking Allah to accept efforts, forgive and grant success to children and generations to come.
رَبَّنَا تَقَبَّلْ مِنَّا إِنَّكَ أَنتَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ • رَبَّنَا وَاجْعَلْنَا مُسْلِمَيْنِ لَكَ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِنَا أُمَّةً مُّسْلِمَةً لَّكَ
Rabbana taqabbal minnā innaka anta as-samīʿu al-ʿalīm. • Rabbana wajʿalnā muslimayn laka wa min dhurriyyatinā ummatan muslimatan laka.
Our Lord, accept [this] from us. Indeed, You are the Hearing, the Knowing. Our Lord, and make us Muslims [in submission] to You and from our descendants a Muslim [submitting] nation to You.
Dua for Gratitude for the Gift of Pregnancy
This dua expresses thankfulness for Allah’s blessings, asking for further goodness and protection for offspring.
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي وَهَبَ لِي عَلَى الْكِبَرِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ وَإِسْحَاقَ إِنَّ رَبِّي لَسَمِيعُ الدُّعَاءِ
Al-ḥamdu lillāhi alladhī wahaba lī ʿalā al-kibari Ismāʿīla wa Isḥāq. Inna rabbī lasamīʿu ad-duʿāʾ.
All praise is for Allah, Who has granted me in old age Ishmael and Isaac. Surely my Lord is the Hearer of supplication.
